Introduction

SlashDev is my primary PC. It’s not extremely high-end, but it’ll do just fine.
I chose the name SlashDev, simply because I think it sounds neat. I derived the name from ./dev directory in the Linux directory structure. Allthough I don’t run Linux on this machine, I still think it’s a cool name.

Optical: 1x LG 16x DVD, 1x Lite-On 16x DVD+RWDL
LAN: 1x SMC 802.11G wifi (54mbit), 1x integrated fast-ethernet (100mbit)
External connections: 8x USB 2.0 (6x back, 2x front), 1x LPT, 1x COM, 2x PS2
Extra: sweet looking blue LCD screen on the front of the PC which gives me the temperature status of the PC, displays harddisk activity, time, fanspeed and power status.

After cleaning up the cables it looks like this:
Everything connected.

heck, the yellow rounded IDE cable has been removed, the same goes for the first and the last harddisk from top to bottom (and the other way around) and the PCI IDE controller, no new pic yet.

…End of line.
